Wordpress Directory Structure and Files That is needs to customize

Folders :-

wp-admin (for admin panel)

wp-content (for theme, plugin and images)

wp-include (for libraries)

Files in root Folder :-

wp-config (For database connection)

Other files are use for wordpress coding, no need to change.

WP-CONTENT folder :-

Plugin (For plugin)

Themes (For Theme)

Upgrade (For backup when wordpress being upgrade)

Uploads (Media & Files stored in this folder)

In Plugin folder for every plugin there is directory with plugin name.

In Theme Folder there is for every theme a Directory with Theme Name.

In Uploads folder there is folder with Month Name and then in Month Name Folder there is Folder with Date.

Important Files from Theme Folder :-

For make a new theme create a folder with the Theme Name.

1. functions.php

2. style.css

3. index.php

4. page.php

5. header.php

6. footer.php

7. sidebar.php

You can copy and paste these files from pre installed wordpress theme.
